Rev. Michael R. Bartley
Rev. Michael Bartley is an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. He studied at Duke University Divinity School and has worked in campus ministry and in local churches for more than 20 years. Michael has been the Executive Director of the Wesley Foundation for the past 16 years, where he has loved challenging his students and himself to live out their faith in their daily lives.
He lives by a modest proposal, “Let the Christians of the world agree not to kill each other.”
Though Michael is often on the road, he is always available to set-up one-on-one appointments. Students often say that he’s one of the most knowledgeable pastors they’ve known. Questions of faith and doubt, vocation and academic discernment, philosophy and ethics are often asked of and discussed with Michael.
Michael enjoys reading, riding his bike, teaching others, and experiencing life. He also enjoys spending time with his students to help them find their calling and purpose at OSU, at the Wesley, and in life. He is also continuing his education through the Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership program of the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University.
