“Today will never come again. Be a blessing. Be a friend. Encourage someone. Take time to care. Let your words heal and not wound.” I was reminded of this quote today as I was being challenged and pulling from all of the encouragement I have already felt. People’s kind words have been so encouraging throughout these first few days. I would not have made it without them. You all have reminded me of the power of kind words and what a blessing they can be. Today was a good day. The wind was challenging and I had to take a detour that added a few miles but I survived. On the bright side, the detour helped me avoid the crazy traffic of Newkirk, Oklahoma, I have heard so much about. ~Mallory Things I Learned on Day 2: I don’t particularly enjoy hugs but today, I would have loved to hug the creator of Peanut Butter. It is a lifesaver and energy giver!! It is difficult to not feel negatively about the people in cars that drive up hills quickly as I am struggling the ultimate struggle to not fall over. There is a lot of vulnerability involved in introducing yourself to a group of people for the first time, after riding your bike in the heat all day. Not only do you stink, you are wearing the least flattering piece of apparel ever invented. Bike Shorts.
